An industrial cooperation exchange conference between Shenzhen's Longhua District and Hong Kong was held at the Shenzhen Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) on Sept. 11, bringing together government representatives, investors, technology companies, educators and cultural enterprises from Longhua and Hong Kong.
Against the backdrop of Shenzhen’s role as host of the 2026 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, the forum focused on expanding practical collaboration in education, scientific and technological innovation, artificial intelligence and cultural consumption. It also sought to build stronger channels for two-way talent mobility and the sharing of industrial resources between Longhua and Hong Kong.
The opening of the forum featured a presentation on Longhua District’s investment environment, followed by thematic discussions on using Hong Kong’s financial strengths to support the globalization of technology companies and on how AI agents could contribute to Shenzhen-Hong Kong industrial cooperation.
Organizations giving corporate presentations included Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong), iFLYTEK, OneOneTalk and several technology startups.
Hong Kong as a gateway for AI and technology cooperation

Longhua has a strong industrial base, abundant computing resources and a vibrant startup environment, while Hong Kong serves as an international hub linking global capital, universities, research outcomes and professional talent. Closer cooperation between the two places is therefore important for developing the technology and AI industries.
Luo highlighted the digital-industry area around Shenzhen North Station in Longhua as a natural connection point. The district has a large and youthful population, extensive transport links and strong digital-industry clusters, while its connections with the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone creates additional opportunities for collaboration.
He also identified cross-border data flows and the coordinated scheduling of computing resources as two promising areas for deeper cooperation. While talent exchanges and industrial incubation are already developing rapidly, further breakthroughs in data and computing-power coordination could provide new momentum for cross-border innovation.
B.Duck showcases AI-powered branding and cultural collaboration
Vincent Cheung, the executive director and general manager of the Hong Kong cultural brand B.Duck, said the company sees significant potential in Longhua’s cultural, creative, digital, fashion and tourism sectors.

B.Duck entered the mainland market in 2012 and established a Shenzhen branch to develop its licensing business. Its network includes hundreds of licensees and manufacturing partners across the mainland, including companies in Longhua. B.Duck has used AI to develop short videos, product scenes and social-media content for both domestic and overseas platforms. Cheung showed some of the company’s AI-generated videos that had collectively attracted more than 300 million views on its overseas Instagram account without paid promotion, with individual clips attracting tens of millions of views. Looking ahead, he expressed interest in bringing B.Duck-themed cultural and tourism projects to Longhua, including brand-experience spaces, pop-up activities, co-branded initiatives, small urban parks and themed experience stores. Such projects could attract visitors from Hong Kong, introduce more Hong Kong cultural and creative companies to Longhua, and strengthen cultural and consumer cooperation between the two places. The forum brought together participants to discuss cooperation in AI, financing, education, cross-border e-commerce and cultural industries. Participants also explored opportunities for further enterprise engagement and project-level collaboration between Longhua and Hong Kong.
