Guihutang Old Walled Village is a historic Hakka settlement in Guihua Community, Guanlan. Built by the Chen family during the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911), it is one of Shenzhen’s oldest and best-preserved walled villages.
Covering 18,130 square meters, the complex comprises 50 houses with 136 rooms, as well as an ancestral hall, a study room, a fortified entrance and a watchtower. Its largely intact late-Qing architecture offers valuable insights into Hakka migration, traditional customs and vernacular architecture in the Shenzhen area. The village lies between Guanlan Ancient Market and Mission Hills, making it a noteworthy stop for visitors exploring Guanlan’s cultural heritage.
