There are two ways to call a taxi: by telephone and via the internet.

By phone:

Shenzhen’s unified hotline for calling a taxi is 95128. But if you wish to order an accessible taxi, please call 12385.

1. People will be asked to provide all necessary information, which will be put in the taxi reservation network by a phone operator, and the reservation system will automatically search for the nearest available taxis for the passengers.

2. An available taxi driver will press the confirm button in the reservation network to accept an order after receiving the order via GPS.

3. The driver will receive the passenger’s information after confirming the order.

4. The driver will pick up the passenger at the designated point.

Via the internet:

1. Select “打车”on the front page of the “高德地图”app, or choose “高德打车小程序” in the WeChat or Alipay app.

2. After inputting the pick-up point and destination, select “深圳出租” and choose “立即叫车”. Your order will be automatically submitted to the online reservation system.

3. A passenger will be notified with the vehicle information, including vehicle type, color, vehicle license plate number and the personal information of the cabbie after the passenger’s order is accepted by a taxi driver.

4. The passenger will be picked up at the designated point, and will be charged upon arrival at the destination and will be able to leave a review of the service and acquire a receipt for the journey online.

Please note that a passenger will be charged from the time of entry into the taxi. It is illegal for a taxi driver to start the taxi meter while still waiting for the passenger or when on the way to pick up the passenger.

How to find items left in a Shenzhen taxi

If you leave something in a taxi in Shenzhen, you can use the following services to identify the taxi and contact its operator.

If you have payment, vehicle or driver details

This applies if you paid through WeChat, have a taxi receipt, or know the vehicle’s license plate number, the driver’s name or the driver’s identification number.

· If you paid through WeChat

Use the “出租车助手” (Taxi Assistant) mini program on WeChat:

Open “出租车助手.”

Go to “我的订单” (My Orders) and find the relevant trip.

Select “更多出租车服务” (More Taxi Services).

Tap “物品遗失报案” (Report a Lost Item).

Follow the instructions to call the taxi company and ask about your lost property.

· If you have a receipt or know the vehicle or driver details

Call the 12328 transport service hotline to obtain the taxi company’s telephone number, then contact the company directly about your lost property.

The hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays.

· If you have no receipt or identifying information

If you do not have a taxi receipt and cannot provide the license plate number or driver details, you can ask the Shenzhen Transport Lost Property Inquiry Platform to help identify the vehicle from its GPS records.

You will need to provide as much information about the trip as possible, including the approximate pickup and drop-off times and locations and the route taken.

· In-person inquiries

Visit the service counter of the “深i交通 圳为您寻” Shenzhen Transport Lost Property Inquiry Platform.

Add: Public Complaints Reception Office, Shenzhen Municipal Transport Bureau, Zhuzilin Fourth Road, Xiangmihu Subdistrict, Futian District (福田区香蜜湖街道竹子林四路深圳市交通运输局信访接待室)

Hours: 9 a.m.–noon and 2–6 p.m. on weekdays, excluding public holidays

· Telephone inquiries

Call the platform’s service counter at 0755-36882104 and provide details of your trip, including the approximate pickup and drop-off times and locations and the route taken.
